Weight Loss That Works: The Process

Dr. Hovav, our Board Certified Physician, will consult with you about your personal and medical history, your goals, and discuss the options that are right for you. You will receive advice and a plan from Dr. Hovav so you can make the decision that is right for you after all your questions have been answered.

If you agree to move forward, our Registered Nurse will do a thorough body composition test, take measurements, vitals, and pictures for our medical records. If blood work has not been done in the last 3 months, this will also be done in-clinic.

Weight Loss Plans May Include:

  • Semaglutide injections or tablets.
  • Combination treatment with Low dose naltrexone, Lipo shots, and sermorelin.
  • Proper supplements, vitamin boosters, and natural solutions.

Semaglutide Injections: The Basics

GLP-1 agonist drugs like semaglutide help lower blood sugar and promote weight loss.  These drugs work on the GLP-1 receptor to trigger insulin release from the pancreas and that helps to lower the amount of glucose in your blood. GLP-1s also prevent the glucose from entering your bloodstream by blocking glucagon – the hormone that your body uses to raise blood sugar levels. Semaglutide also works on slowing the rate at which your stomach empties – which means that there is less glucose released from the food as you digest. It works on your brain to tell you that you feel full. Semaglutide can be very powerful drug, but it’s not a miracle.

You must still eat right (high protein), exercise (particularly weight training to maintain muscle mass), and take proper nutrients to supplement your nutrition.

The Shred: combination Low-Dose Naltrexone, Lipo-Mino, and Sermorelin

Low dose naltrexone (1.5-4.5mg), also called “LDN” may help reduce food cravings and overeating by blocking the brain’s opioid receptors, which are involved in the reward pathways of the brain. By reducing the pleasurable sensations associated with food, LDN may help people eat less and lose weight. LDN may also increase the body’s production of endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving and mood-enhancing substances. Endorphins can help reduce stress and anxiety, which are common triggers for overeating and weight gain.

Lipo-Mino contains a combination of lipotropic agents, amino acids, and vitamins that help the body break down and metabolize fats, boost energy, and improve exercise performance.

Sermorelin is a synthetic form of a hormone called growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), which is naturally produced by the body to stimulate the release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. Growth hormone plays a crucial role in many bodily functions, including the growth and repair of tissues, muscle growth, bone density, and metabolism. Some research has suggested that growth hormone may have some potential benefits for weight loss, as it can help increase muscle mass and decrease body fat.
