When it comes to hormone replacement therapy, pellet therapy provides several advantages. These include fewer treatment sessions, enhanced safety, and more consistent results with a reduced likelihood of side effects. It’s a true “set it and forget it” non-invasive procedure that involves inserting a rice-sized pellet under the skin with as few as four annual visits. Consequently, you can minimize the likelihood of disease while promoting a mosaic of physical and cognitive health benefits.
Contrary to prevalent misconceptions, BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy) extends beyond managing estradiol levels. It’s crucial to recognize that low testosterone also impacts women. Consequently, by rebalancing this vital hormone, you can experience fuller and more restful sleep, elevate your energy levels, expedite your weight loss objectives, and alleviate joint pain. Optimizing your hormonal balance through BHRT can contribute significantly to overall well-being. Explore these benefits and more for a holistic approach to women’s health.

Your consult with the doctor will include a review of all your blood work and a treatment plan. Your labs will be drawn in clinic and results typically available within 1 business day. Blood work will include full blood counts, liver and kidney function, metabolites, HbA1c (check for diabetes), free and total testosterone, DHEA-S, estradiol, an inflammatory marker, vitamin D, and three thyroid markers including antibodies.
Pellet insertion performed by physician. Typically pellets keep your hormones optimized for 3-4 months.
Sometimes you need a little boost after the first time getting bio-identical hormones. While it's not common, sometimes an adjustment may be needed (can only be done in less than 30 days after the procedure).
This is not always necessary as treatment is clinically monitored - meaning your symptoms are more important than your numbers. However sometimes objective evidence is needed and labs can be important.
